Includes learning all styles of music for exam preparation, Eisteddfods, or just for fun. Ages 6 years and up (It’s never too late to give it a go!).


Music Theory

This is taught as part of singing and piano lessons, however older students can benefit from exclusive music theory lessons and sitting AMEB theory exams.

I’ve just been to an amazing Professional Development Day given by Dr Anita Collins. She has a website called and a Facebook site, also Bigger Better Brains. She gave some insight into how our brains are changed when we listen to/sing/play music. Apparently we musos have qualitatively and quantitatively different brains! What better reason can we have to learn music?! And that is without considering the health benefits from the endorphins we are creating!!!
